The Spring Bell
The Pocket Story Theatre
Language: Hebrew
Ages: 3–8
Duration: approx. 50 minutes
Far away in Switzerland, in a small village high in the Alps, a festival is held every year in honor of spring, and all the children take part in it.
Uncle distributes bells to each child for the celebration.
Urzli, a small but determined boy, receives a tiny bell — and all the other children laugh at him.
He decides to set out alone on a dangerous journey to the summer house where a large and beautiful bell is kept, one that he can use for the spring festival.
But the house is at the top of the mountain, and the melting snow floods the paths with water.
Will Urzli manage to climb all the way to the summer house and find the bell?
A puppet theatre performance for children, unfolding vertically along a ladder — each step takes Urzli farther from his safe home and brings new challenges and surprises.
The actress climbs with Urzli to the very top, in funny and poetic ways.
