What does it mean to go to sleep?

For the festival, we brought together performing artists from different disciplines, who created and presented their own interpretations of the act of “sleeping” in an attempt to answer this question.

The audience will move between the different performances.

The medley consists of several pieces:

Good Night

Dozo and Jinka write dreams together.

Dozo, a storyteller who works in an office, sits in his room late at night, searching for inspiration.

Jinka, his daughter, finds herself in trouble in a dream.

How will they break through the boundaries of imagination and help each other?

A sweet story about bedtime, about a father and daughter who are there for each other even when the day has come to an end.

Created by: Adam Schwartz and Neta Atzmon
Professional Consultant: Idit Kishinovsky
Set Construction: Aviram Ben Aziz
Music Adaptation: Manu Romi

The performance was produced with the support of Pa'ima Studio.

My Shadow

A visual theatre performance of light, shadow, movement, and imagination.

My Shadow is an almost wordless visual theatre piece about the encounter between a person and their shadow.

What begins as a simple play of light and body gradually becomes a journey into a world where the shadow takes on a life of its own. The character plays with it, tries to control it, fears it, and sometimes even gets lost inside it.

Through light, screens, movement, objects, and imagination, the boundary between reality and the world of shadows gradually blurs. The screen becomes a gateway, objects change their size and meaning, and the shadow transforms from a physical phenomenon into a character and a companion on the journey.

Little by little, it becomes clear that the shadow is not an enemy to run from. It is a part of her.

In the end, instead of fighting or fearing it, she learns to dance with it — and discovers that what lies within her does not have to be frightening.

My Shadow is a visual, playful, and poetic journey about fear, imagination, discovery, and acceptance.

Why Do You Have Such Big Teeth?

A familiar fairy tale told another way.

Little Red Riding Hood sets out into the forest with a basket in her hand and a familiar story in her head. But in this forest, anything can change: the trees awaken, fears begin to dance, and the wolf is no longer quite who we thought he was.

A wild visual and musical reimagining of the familiar fairy tale, where the characters switch roles, boundaries become blurred, and Little Red Riding Hood discovers that the power to change the ending of the story is in her hands.
